All masks will be shipped via Canada Post via lettermail or parcel mail. Lettermail orders are likely to arrive faster, however tracking is only available through parcel mail. Lettermail orders will be sent in packages of up to 4 products each. Please select your preference at checkout.
Once your order has been delivered to Canada Post you will receive shipment confirmation. The BC Women’s Health Foundation is not responsible for packages that are undeliverable, missing, or stolen, though we will do our best to locate your order in the case that sometimes goes wrong.
Unfortunately we are unable to ship orders to addresses outside of Canada.
Due to the hygienic nature of this product, once mailed all masks are final sale (non-refundable and non-exchangeable). Refunds requested within 1 week of purchase of un-shipped masks may be refunded. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We generally recommend youth size for kids, size medium for most teens and women, and size large for most men. However, we understand everyone's face is unique! For a perfect fit we recommend you use the measurements below.
When taking your measurements to find your size measure from the bridge of your nose to under your chin and from the middle of your left cheek, over your nose, to the middle of your right check. The masks are slightly stretchy, so if you are unsure we recommend sizing down.
Youth: 5” H x 7” W, 3" ear loop
Medium: 5.5” H x 7.5” W, 4" ear loop
Large: 6.5” H x 8” W, 5" ear loop
Please note that masks are not recommended for children under the age of 2 according to the Public Health Agency of Canada.
All masks are made from high performance, moisture wicking 100% polyester. This includes the durable outer shell, soft spun inner shell, and stretchy ear loops.
We are proud to say that our masks are designed and produced locally in Vancouver, BC!
The very talented and Vancouver-local, Fer Rivera, helped us in designing our masks! See more of her work on her website.
No, this product is non-medical grade and does not replace N95 or other medical grade masks. It is intended to help prevent transmission of droplets between people as well as onto surfaces and allows medical masks to be prioritized for health-care workers and patients. This product makes no claims of antimicrobial protection, antiviral protection, particulate filtration, or infection prevention or reduction.
In addition, these masks do not replace other recommended measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19, including social distancing, washing your hands often, and refraining from touching your face.
To learn more about the use of non-medical masks, please see this notice posted by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
When worn properly, masks help limit the spread of droplets and can contribute to maintaining low levels of COVID-19.
These face masks can reduce transmission from you to others. Many people with COVID-19 and other viral infections are often able to transmit disease for several days before they show symptoms.
They are helpful in situations where social distancing is hard to maintain: in stores or on public transit.
The more people who wear them, the greater the protection to the community. Wearing a mask is for the benefit of others.
It is important to remember that masks should be used alongside frequent handwashing and avoiding touching your face.
Net proceeds from the exclusive Ending Violence Together Mask and additional donations made at checkout will support community-based anti-violence services and cross-sector initiatives to support victims and survivors of gender-based violence, through our partnership with the Ending Violence Association of BC and in support of our COVID-19 Fund: Women + Families. This partnership will help provide a secure Virtual Communications infrastructure in order to develop and coordinate an anti-violence curriculum with more than 100 counselling programs and 140 advocacy programs across the province. The collaboration will deliver life-saving knowledge and resources to women of all ages, to ensure their safety and long-term healing, when they need it most.
Net proceeds from other purchases will support the work of the Foundation to address the areas of greatest need in women’s health, including urgently needed medical equipment, women’s health research, education, awareness, and advocacy for the unique needs of women and newborns across the province.
